Grapefruit Marmalade

Marmalade… the FANCY jelly!!  🙂

As a child, I always considered it a special treat when there was marmalade around… I was fascinated by the little strips of candied peel that you’d find floating in the jelly, and I LOVED the fact that the jelly was always ‘tart sweet’; not too tart; not too sweet — In truth a love affair was born… Marmalades are my favorite type of jelly.  So much so that I introduced my ‘Six Citrus Marmalade’ last year, where I blended SIX different citrus fruits into a wild blend for marmalade; still one of my all time favorite jellies that I’ve created, which is still available for purchase on this site.  But when it comes to singular fruits getting the marmalade treatment, then I am partial to two in particular:  Lime, which ironically was the flavor of the very first jar of jam that I sold [more on that story later], and Grapefruit, a citrus that I adore completely, and that I have as part of my breakfast whenever possible!!

This marmalade is quite special — blending pink and white grapefruit enhances the flavor, and gives it a bit more complexity  — like the fruit, I adore this marmalade; give it a try!!
