Introducing Linda; the inspiration for the next tribute in my new Homage Series…

My ‘2nd Mom’ Linda…

We all have people in our lives that inspire us; that enrich our lives… people who help us rise to the occasion – people who challenge us to be the best we can possibly be.  My Mother-In-Law, Linda certainly fits the bill in that aspect!

Linda is a woman whom I am proud to call my 2nd Mom… Linda possesses a giving and charitable nature that is second to none… the indefatigable way in which she does for others, without hesitation is a trait that I admire, and aspire to.  Her generosity knows no limits, and not only does she love her family fiercely, but she is the epitome of a wonderful In-Law…. She shares my love for crafting; she is a blast to shop with — Plus she is part of the reason why I have the best possible person to share my life with – my Paul.

In my personal pantheon, my 2nd Mom is the Goddess of Compassion; she exudes it.  Compassion, Warmth & Generosity,  I am fortunate to have her in my life, and I love her like no other… 🙂

In paying homage to Linda, I took a fruit that I know she loves, Figs, and combined it with rustic, fall fruits — apples & pears.  Together, the trio of fruits is a dynamic flavor combination, especially after adding a kiss of vanilla — this flavor blend is truly extraordinary.  I am very proud of this creation!!  It tastes of home… and it is a wonderful homage to Linda.
