Plum Butter

For our Plum Butter, we take Italian and Black Plums, and cook them slowly… like, seriously slowly… like, around 10-12 hours usually… with dark brown sugar, a bit of lime juice, and fresh squeezed plum juice — NOTHING ELSE.  Like our other butters, we cook it REAL SLOW, so that it thickens up naturally, and reduces down to a thick, rich, dark, and delicious spread.
