Like the majority of my friends who enjoy peppers, for me it is about the flavor more than it is about the ‘kick’… though we do enjoy the kick!!
So… when I make a pepper jelly, I don’t go the usual jalapeno route; No… I love to marry flavors to get a jelly that fills your mouth with flavor, while the heat blooms slowly on your tongue — this jelly manages to do that… and a whole lot more! A fun fusion of thai, creole, and cajun peppers, there is plenty of flavor, and heat to go around; and it is balanced with an array of bell peppers to temper the heat, and help marry the flavors — this is definitely the party jelly!
And I’ll let you in on a little secret… my favorite thing to do with this jelly is glaze my fried chicken or fish with it — OUT OF THIS WORLD… you’re welcome!!
