New Flavors Are A Comin’!!

SPRING IS HERE!!!!!!

And with that, comes creation… πŸ™‚ I was tucked away over the last couple of months, thinking about how I wanted to kick off this brand new year [which isn’t so new anymore!!] jamwise, and I’ve got a plan!!

I spent the last couple of days making arrangements to get some nice, fresh produce, including a nice stroll through my backyard (this will all make sense in a moment!) And I am happy to announce the next [6] flavors that will roll out of my kitchen over the next couple of weeks! [Yup, I said WEEKS!!] And they are…. (drumroll please!!):

  • Twisted Pepper Jelly [a Pepper Jelly made with a blend of Thai and Tabasco Peppers]
  • Six Citrus Marmalade [A marmalade mixing Orange, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Pomelo & Tangerine!]
  • Double ‘B’ Berry Preserves (Preserves utilizing berries from my own backyard — I have [2] boysenberry vines, and a blackberry vine in my yard, and those three vines produce the most amazing range of fruits… some hybrid, some not… ALL of those fruits go into my jam – it is amazing!!)
  • Peach Preserves [the recipe that started it all; this is my Grandmother’s recipe – the first recipe I was taught when learning how to make preserves, and canning…
  • Plum Preserves [the first recipe I created/developed on my own – the recipe I am proudest of… my favorite!!
  • Loquat Jam [A beautiful, exotic fruit that is prevalent here in the Los Angeles area… which also makes a very flavorful and luscious jam — try some!]

All [6] flavors will be done, and available, on or before May 6th… I will put each one up here on this website as they become available, and they will all be with me, along with any stock still remaining from the end of last year, at my booth at the Spring Edition of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Craft Fair, on Saturday, May 11th, from 9a – 4p. And this fair is the day before Mother’s Day, so come visit, pick up some jam, and do your Mother’s Day shopping in one fell swoop! And remember, once a flavor is gone, it’s gone until the next time I make it — which may or may not be this year; after all, I like to keep it interesting for all of you! πŸ™‚ So, if you have a favorite, pick up a jar or two before it’s all gone…

So… that’s my update. Hope everything is going well with all of you!
