Melon-Berry Jam [Strawberry & Watermelon]

It must be Spring…

And this year, for the first time, I’m planning a ‘local’ Men’s Knitting Retreat!!  We’ll be in the Central Coast region of California, at a Lodge in lovely Santa Margarita, which lies between San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles!

It is my intent to create a commemorative jam to celebrate this inaugural Retreat, so I explored the local Farmer’s Markets, sniffing and tasting… the Strawberries and the Watermelons were both so incredibly amazing, flavorable, ripe and fresh, so I figured… Why not?  What did I do next?  I combined the two — AND LOVED IT!

Usually I wait, gauge the response of those I give my commemorative jams to each year, and then based on their feedback I either keep it just to them, or I do a general release of the same developed flavor as well.  But THIS flavor; is truly special, and fun — so I decided to go ahead and make it available to all y’all… Hope you like it!!
